Catching up?

Dropping in at this lesson? One command reinstalls the library components the build uses so far and writes the scene as it stood at the end of the previous lesson to public/scenes/WingmanFlight2-lesson-6/scene.json:

bjs download scene WingmanFlight2-lesson-6 --all

Copy that scene.json over your src/scenes/wingman.json and you are caught up to the start of this lesson.

Guns only work up close. Two fighters weave around you now. Your only weapon is a stream of tracers, and you aim them by hand. A missile could reach across the arena. But a missile that flies straight ahead is just a slow bullet. The lock is what makes it dangerous. A lock is a choice the ship holds each frame: which enemy is yours. No missile fires this lesson. That comes next. First the ship has to pick a target and hold onto it.
